Evolution - Random Food Model.
The cells wander around looking for
food. The grey line around them is their food-detection range. When they are
fully grown the grey line goes black and the cell can breed or fight. New cells
take a mixture of DNA from their parents with a little random variation. DNA is
represented here by the three colours red, green and blue. When a cell's DNA is
more than half one colour it becomes a 'Killer cell' and will fight any other
cell that has less then half it's colour. The biggest cell wins. Which will
become the dominant gene? Natural selection will choose.
Speed, size and
food-detection range are also part of a cells DNA but are not considered in
fights. In this random-food model the cells should become larger and faster to
detect food better and survive famines.
