Book Reviews
Why not write a book review?
A book review is an article or piece of writing about a book. A combination of "what the book is about" (synopsis) and what the reviewer thinks about the book (opinion/review).

It's as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Choose a book from the Netlanguages Library, or any book you've read yourself.
  2. Read part or all of the book and then write your review.
  3. Post the review on the Netlanguages noticeboard.

Real Books has reviews and information, including the current US best sellers.

The New York Times Books has more than fifty thousand book reviews .


Find a magazine

The Netlanguages Library and Cafe have links to many magazines from around the world. We are always looking for new magazine titles to add to the library. If you know of, or find a good magazine, please tell us about it. Send the title and address of the magazine and a short review of the content - giving an opinion. The best reviews will be published on the Magazine pages in the Cafe. Send your entries to



Design an Internet Quiz

Here are is an interesting quiz activity that will allow you to look at five interesting sites. Answer the five questions and look at the sites that interest you at the same time. After, you could write your own Internet Treasure Hunt which will inform other students and show them interesting WebPages at the same time.

You can send a card to another student, a friend, or even someone in your family. There are a lot of free cybercard/cybergift sites on the Internet. Here are a few.

1001 postcards has birthday cards, friendship cards, cartoon cards, work cards, general cards, funny cards, Friday cards etc etc etc. It's a large, easy to understand site that's lots of fun to look at and use.

123 Greetings is an excellent birthday card site. Birthday cards for different people, ages and emotions.

Wired 2000 is a card site with a difference. You can choose a picture from their site, or you can use a picture from another webpage by giving them the address.
